ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, May 9. At the Addington market to-day there were small entries of almost all classes of stock. Fat cattle were firmer, as were fat lambs, the latter selling up to 9Jd per lb over all. Store sheep, which were almost wethers, also sold well, and fat sheep were firmer. Prime fat pigs were in demand, but unfinished sorts and stores were dull of sale.

Store Sheep.—Two-tooth ewes to 23s 6d, four and six-tooth ewes 27s 3d to 30s 3d, six and eight-tooth ewes 14s 9d to 27s fid, sound mouthed ewes 18s 3d to 27s fid, two-tooth wethers 23s to 35s Bd, four and six-tooth wethers 19s Bd, 325, six and eight-tooth wethers to 275, sound mouthed wethers to 245, ewe lambs to 13s Id, wether lambs 11s, mixed sex lambs 13s 2d. Prime fat lambs 28s to 33s fid, medium 23s to 27s fid, lighter 18s 7d to 24s fid.

Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers to 43s 2d, prime wethers 365, 425, lighter wethers 27s to 355, merino wethers 24s Id to 34s fid; extra prime ewes to 42s 9d, prime ewes 34s fid to 395, medium eWcs 29s to 345, lighter ewes 22s 3d to 28s fid.

Fat Cattle.—Extra prime steers to £2l, prime steers £l3 5s to £2O, ordinary fat steers £ll to extra prime heifers £ls 2s tid, prime heifers £lO to £l4 10s, ordinary heifers £7 10s £9 15s; extra prime cows £l6 10s, prime-cows £lO 10s to £ls 10s, ordinary cows £7 10s to £lO ss,

Store Cattle.—Small yearlings £2 ss, 16 to 18 months £4 7s fid, two-year heifers £6 ss, three-year steers £8 17s fid, dry cows £4 to £9 10s. Dairy cows, £5 to £lB 10s. Fat Pigs.—Choppers £3 10s to £B, extra heavy baconers £5 ss, heavy baconers £4 to £4 15s, lighter baconers £3 5s to £3 15s—equal to 7d to 7Jd per lb; medium stores 26s to 335, smaller 16s to 235, weaners 8s fid to 14s.
