WESTERN FRONT.
CONTINUED BRITISH PROGRESS. London, Feb. 28. Sir Douglas Haig reports that we made further progress ‘and captured Le Barque. We occupied Ligny and established ourselves in the western and northern defences of PuisieuxAumont, We raided south-westward of Lens, and also eastward of Armentieres on a half-mile front. We entered three lines of trenches, and considerably damaged the defences. SUCCESSFUL FRENCH RAIDS. London, Feb. 28. A French communique says: We raided German lines south-east of Yailly and brought back prisoners. There were patrol encounters in the region of Bezouvaux and the Yosges. ZEEBRUGQE BOMBARDED. The Hague, Feb. 28. Allied aeroplanes heavily bombarded Zeebrugge harbour and depots. Heavy explosions were heard and the glare of fires was seen from Holland.
