Red-deer stags ajad fallow-deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Marlborough Acclimatisation Distnct from the 27th day of February, | 1917, to the 30th day of April, 1917, ! (both days inclusive). 2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Blenheim, and the Postmaster at Havelock, on payment of a license fee of £l, subject to the Act and these ngulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person. 3. No licensee shall take or kill more than fix red-deer stags or fallowdeer bucks, and no red-deer stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less J than eight points. 4 No doe, hind, or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whato ever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant be may have with him 5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorising any person to i sell any deor or portion thereof. 1 6. Regulations as to deer '* tags,”* pec “ New Zealand Gazette,” No. 40, Vol. 1., of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “ tags " to the undersigned, Blenheim, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such *' tags ” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot. 7. SETTLEMENT LANDS IN MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT FOR LEASE TO DISCHARGED SOLDIERS.
