SETTLEMENT LANDS IN, MARLBOROUGH LAND DIS-, TRIOT FOR LEASE TO! DISCHARGED SOLDIERS. ! NOTICE is hereby given that Twelve (12) Allotments of land in Brina Settlement are open for selection on Renewable Lease by Discharged Soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915. and the Land for Settlement Act, 1908, and the Regulations thereunder. Application received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o’clock p.m, on WEDNESDAY, 21st March, 1917. Applicatants to appear personally before the Land Board on FRIDAY, 28rd March, 1917. The Allotments comprise from 298 to 759 acres and the yearly rents from £45 to £193 19s od. The settlement is situated lin the Wairau Valley about 17 miles from Blenheim, access by good motor road. Daily motor service. MARLBOROUGH AOOLIMATI3* ATION SOCIETY REGULATIONS for deer-shoot-ing, Marlborough. .1. Red-deer stags and fallow-deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Marlborough Acclimatisation Dis* tiict from the 27th day of February, 1917, to the 30th day of April, 1917, (both days inclusive). 2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Post- ; master at Blenheim, and the Post* master at Havelock, on payment of a license fee of £l, subject to the Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person. 8. No licensee shall take or kill more than fix red-deer stags or fallowdeer bucks, and no red-deer stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than eight points. ' 4, No doe, hind, or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whato ever j and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him. 5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorising any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. 6. Regulations as to deer “ tags,” per “ New Zealand Gazette,” No. 40, Vol. 1., of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “ tags ” to the undersigned, Blenheim, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such ” tags ” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot. 7, Any person committing a breach of any of . these regulations shall be liable, on coviction, to a fine not exceeding £2O.
