OLD MAN MISSING . Greymouth May 23. An old man named Dawes Lennon is missing- He lived in a but at Barrytown, and has not been seen since Saturday last.
ATTEMPTED SUICIDE Auckland, May 28 A young married woman named Mrs Rhoda Foster, 29 years of age, attempted to commit suicide at her father’s residence, Grey Lynn, by taking poison. Emetics were ‘ administered, and the woman was removed to the hospital. Mrs Foster resided for some time at Tolaga Bay with her husband. The isolation afifee'ed her, and she suffered a nervous breakdown. She is likely to recover. THROWN PROM A TRAP Christchurch May 23.. At the inquest on Mr Charles Kerr, the well-known trainer, a verdict was returned that death was due to being accidentally thrown from a trap.
