A CITIZEN’S COMPLAINT.
In connection with the recent straying stock cases and the alleged complaint against the constable made by one of the defendants, the following letter has been received in reply to the matter having been placed before the Minister of Justice Wellington, 22nd May, 1914. Mr C. C. Harris, Havelock, Marlborough.
Dear Sir,—l have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 20lh April, complaining of the conduct of the constable at Havelock in that he declined to investigate a complaint you made to him.
In reply I beg to inform you that I am referring your communication to the Commissioner of Police for his enquiry and report.—Yours faithfully, A. L. Hbrdman, Minister of Justice.
