Sydney Strike Settled.
SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE. Sydney, March 8. After the conference Mr McGowan, the Premier, announced that an agreement had been reached by mutual consent. The men would go back to work on Saturday afternoon.
SERVICE FULLY RESTORED. TRIUMPH FOR CONCILIATION. Sydney, March 9. The gas service has been fully restored. General gratification is expressed at the settlement. Mr McGowen claims that the result is an absolute triumph for conciliation.
