A shocking accident occurred in Ballena Bay, below Roseneath, shortly before 9 o’clock this morning, resulting in the death of Matthias Clatworbhy, a resident of Wellington for over thirty years. He was jacking up a harbour board punt, and when reaching under the punt to get another jack the first one slipped and the punt came on top of him. Death was instantaneous.
