MEMORANDUM.
Messrs D. S. Patrick and Co. advertise some attractive bargains in hosiery. We draw attention to Messrs Brownlee and Co’s replace advertisement in this issue. . The Havelock Tennis Club will hold a progressive euchre tournament next Wednesday (sth March) in the Library, Havelock. . A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Quoits Club will be held in the Old Commercial to-morrow (Saturday) evening. A good deal ofsupport has already been promised, and it is confidently expected that a strong club will be formed. The Mines Department draws attention in this issue to the fact that all applications, etc., in connection with the examination of Mine-Managers 1 and Battcry-Superintendant certificates must he received on or before 6th March 1913. A similar notice appears in reference to to the examination of Dredgemasters 1 certificates.
