Death of a Fireman.

Wellington, Last Night. The third officer of the Wellington Municipal fire brigade, William Robert McLean, met his death under tragic circumstances while doing his duty at the fire in Manners Streefearly yesterday morning. He was about to ascend an escape ladder on the building, and had just got hold of the iron supports with which all such ladders are guarded when he gave a shriek and fell back dead. He leaves a wife and two children.
