A coin is made to spin on the table ; the performer covers same quickly with a match-box; on lifting the box the coin is nowhere to be seen, and upon the box being opened is found resting inside the drawer. Explanation ’ Prepare an ordinary safety box of wooden matches ; remove the contents secretly before commencing the trick. Now borrow a sixpenny piece and spin it on the

table. Request a member of the' company to name if the coin will be head or tail when covered with the box. Bang the box down on the coin heavily (the bottom of the drawer should be at the top), so that the coin is shot through the case in- j to the box.
