WEDDING.

FOLEY—JAMES. A quiet wedding was solemnised in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Auckland, by Rev. H. F. Holbrook on 10th January, when Mr Hugh Foley, 8.A., headmaster Carluke School, Marlborough, youngest son of the late Mr J. Foley, headmaster Shragarn' School, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, was married to Miss Anstice James, youngest daughter of Mr Richard James, Customs Street, Auckland. The bride, who was dressed in cream glace silk, carried a shower bouquet, and wore the customary wreath and. veil. She was given away by her father, Mr Cyril James, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The two little bridesmaids, Misses Esm&a and Marcia Grean, nieces of, the bride, looked very dainty in white embroidered muslins and pink silk hats, and carried baskets prettily decorated with pink ribbon and sweet pea. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a long gold muff-chain, and to each of the bridesmaids a gold brooch. The bride received several valuable presents from her many friends in Auckland. Her travelling dress was blue taffeta. The happy couple left in the evening express for their honeymoon in Wellington.
