Christchurch, Last Night. At Addington to-day best rape lambs made 12s 9d to 13s 6d, good 12s to 12s 6d, medium 11s to lls 9d, smaller 9s 9d to 10s 6d, and culls 7s lOd ; small 2 tooth ewes lls 6d, 2,4, and 6 tooth 15s 7d, young cull ewes 10s to lls, full mouth merino ewes 7s lOd, ewes with lambs 9s 8d to lls 7d (all counted), forward 4 and 6 tooth wethers 15s to 16s, 2 tooths lls 6d to 12s Bd, small culls 9s 6d to 10s 9d. There was an entry of 2680 lambs. Both condition and quality showed considerable improvement. The exporters were bidding more freely. Best lambs made 14s 6d to 17s, and lighter 12s lOd to 14s. The yarding of fat sheep was a moderate one, but it included some good lines of wethers and ewes. The range of prices was—-Prime wethers 17s to 21s, others 12s 6d to 17s, prime ewes 15a 6d to 18s 6d, extra to 20s, others lls to 15s, merino wethers 10s 6d to 14s 6d. About 180 head of fat cattle were yarded. Steers made £7 to £l3 10s, heifers £5 to £9 ss, cows £5 10s to £8 2s 6d. Good stores sold well, 15 to 18 months making 82s to £8 15s, 2 year steers £4 17s, 2 year heifers £3 15s, 8 year steers £9 17s, 3 year heifers £4 ss. Dairy cows sold well at £3 10s to £8 17s 6d. A small yarding 'of fat pigs sold well. Choppers made 55s to 80s, large baconers 60s to 735, and smaller - 48s to 67s 6d, larger porkers 42s to 495, smaller 35s to 48s.
