PERSONAL.
Among those who recorded votes at Havelock last Thursday was Mrs Mulvey, who will be 90 years of age to-morrow. The old lady’s intellect is still remarkably bright, and she takes a keen interest in local and dominion politics. .The officials controlling the local polling-booth on Thursday deserve congratulation for the way in which the voting was managed. Mr F. G. Fraser was Deputy-Returning Officer for the election and Mr E. H. Smith for the licensing poll, while Messrs James Gorrie and J. B. Reid were poll-clerks. Mr J. Elliott was scrutineer for Mr Duncan.
