Christoburoh, Last Night At Addington to-day there was a very small yarding of store sheep, consisting of three lines of ewes in lamb, a few pens of woolly hoggets, and some shorn wethers. The demand being keen all lots were sold at advanced rates. Shorn yonng ewes with lambs made 12s, same class in the wool 10s to 10s 6d, aged ewes in the wool, with lambs, 8s 2d, and shorn 7s Bd, all counted; A and 6-tooth dry ewes in the wool 15s 4d, and 6-tooth shorn wethers 14s 7d to 15s lOd, 2 and 4-tooth shorn wethers 12s 3d to 13s 4d, small shorn 2-tooth wethers lid, woolly hoggets 12s to Ids 6d. There were 737 fat lambs penned, which is the largest number yet offered this season. There was very good demand on the part of butchers, but owing to the plentiful supply offering prices declined 2s to 3s per head. The general quality of the yarding was exceptionally good. Best lambs made 14s 6d to 18s 3d, lighter 11s to 14s. The entry of fat sheep was smaller than of late. The range of prices was —Woolly wethers 19s 4d to 26s 9d, prime shorn wethers Ids 6d to 20s, others 14s dd to Ids, woolly ewes 19s 7d to 22s 9d, prime shorn ewes 14s 6d to 18s 6d, others 13s 3d to 14s, woolly hoggets 19s dd to 19s Bd,' shorn hoggets 13s 9d. The entry of fat cattle totalled 309. Steers made £9 ds to £l4/heifers £6 Ids to £9 2s 6d, and extra to £ll ds, cows £d 7s 6d to £lO 7s 6d—-equal to 26s to 3ds 6d per 1001 b. Store cattle met with an improved demand, Id to 18 months steers making 40s to 50s, extra to £3. 2-year steers £4 ds, 3-year heifers jjß4 lls, dry cows 3ds to £4 ds. Dairy cows brought £3 10s to £9 ds. For fat pigs prices were consider-, ably firmer. Choppers sold up to £4 16a, large baconers 65s to 77s fid, smaller to 67s 6d, large porkers 87s fid to 465, smaller 80s to 35a —equal to fid per lb. Store pigs sold well, large sorts making 26s to 84s, smaller 18s to 255, and weaners 9s to 16s.
