The Whale Case.
VERDICT FOR JACKSON. Blenheim, Monday. At tbe Magistrate's Court on Saturday Mr R. S. Fiorance, 8.M., gave a lengthy judgment in the whale caseJackson v. Baldick and others. Judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs. Notice of appeal was given by all the defendants. Security was fixed at £250 for tbe four defendants and the wife of the defendant Edward Guard, to cover everything—debts and cost of appeal. The case will come before Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice, at the Supreme Court sittings on Wednesday.
