IN A PULLMAN SLEEPING CAR.
An American tourist was once the victim of an amusing error. One morning on the train, he had just got dressed on the Pullman, and was walking down the. aisle, when he heard the squawking of a baby in one of the berths. Glancing along the row of curtains he espied, peeping out from beneath one of the curtains, a row of little pink toes. The) tourist was very fond of children, and they, in turn, always liked him. So what did he do but kneel down and take ho,ld of a toe, repeating very gravely :
"This little pig went to market, This little pig stayed at home. This little pig got some bread and butter, This little pig "
At this juncture the indignant face of a pretty young matron appeared further up the curtain. "You just let go. That's my foot."
The unfortunate tourist thereupon reduced all previous records for the distance in getting from the Pull man into the Smoker, where he lost no time in pressing the button.
