The monthly meeting of this Bparfl was held on Tuesday. Pivoeut’;Measrs Mills, Redwood, Duncan, Darter, and Ohaytor. Mr Mills was voted to the chaw ih the absence of Mr Seyodour, who was granted leave of absence. Colonel Baillie was granted leave of absence, and it was resolved to i convey to him the sympathy of the Board in , the bereavement he had suffered by the (jeath of his daughter in Hawke’s Bay. Deep Creek.—The Committee nomi- / nated Mr A. W. Blake, formerly of Robin Hood Bay, to take the teachership in .place of Mr Stratford, who .had proceeded to Oullensville.—Reisolved that, providing Mr Blake accept ithe position, his appointment be -sanctioned. The Portage.—Mrs Gallery wrote appointing Miss Clara Godsiff teacher at the aided school.—Appointment confirmed. Kaituna.—Three cords of firewood were granted the Committee. Havelock.—Repairs to the porches of the school were authorised.
