The sale of the London Mine, Coolgardie, was completed last week, when a cheque for £27,000 was paid to tije prospectors, who had already received a deposit of £30,000. • Last night, after the payment, Davies, one of the prospectors, was garotted and of a bank receipt of the value of £30,000. The gold returns published in the Gyzelte of last week show that-the value of gold exported in 1895 exceeds that for the previous year by £274,325, of which amount the-in-creased export from the Auckland district totals £218,888.
