The Case of Louis Chemis.

Our excellent contemporary, the Manawatu Daily Standard, has recently published some clever critical leaders, showing good sound logical reasons, adduced from the evidence collated by the A to L Committee last session on this case, as to why they believe Louis Chemis did not murder one Thomas Hawkins. We have already proclaimed the same opinion, and have'mo intention to let the matter rest even should it take years to convince those in authority that the prisoner is not guilty. The Evening Post, in Wellington, wrote some very strong leaders a short time since, attacking Mr C. H.
