The Prosperity of New Zealand.
The following is from the European Mailßy the most praiseworthy exercise of the spirit of economy the Government of New Zealand has practically succeeded now in placing that resourceful and interesting Colony on the high road to prosperity once more. The revenue returns for the nine months ending with the end of year 1892, show a satisfactory improvement in every way, and Mr Ballance is to be heartily congratulated upon the happy results of the policy he has followed since he same into power at Wellington. No one who has any personal knowledge of New Zealand can deny for a moment that it is one of the finest countries on the earth, brimful of vast natural resources, and only waiting intelligent developments. Already people are flocking into New Zealand ports from other parts of Australasia, and there is every prospect that, before many years, the Britain of the South will leave her sister Colonies at the Antipodes far behind in the march of progress.
