[By Boiloveb.] Some excitement, coupled 'with amusement, was caused in town on Tuesday evening last after a friendly game of quoits bad been played in the Masonic Hotel paddock. A splendid finish was obtained by Mclsaac breasting the ribbon first Tapp 2 feet away, and Whitwell about a nose behind him, the rest arriving home about the time the lubrication Was being supplied at the counter, where the stakes were paid over and a merry half-hour indulged m which broke the monotony of the dull times.
