A Market in Havelock.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—ln your issue ot the 2nd insfc. a correspondent suggested the advisability of establishing a market in Havelock quarterly for the sale o stock, Ac. ■ I am sure this is a good and sound suggestion, and would lead to a great deal of good to the district, but something more than a letter to the paper is required. If the writer, or any one else who is practically interested in the matter, would inaugurate such a schem9 by advertising a market to be held three months' hence, and invite the co-operation of other farmers in the Sounds, Pelorus, and Wairau, there is no doubt it would lead to practical results. The Town Hall would be a most suitable place for the display and sale of produce, and the pvldocks in the vicinity ould doubtless be procured for exhibiting stock. I am, &c, Advance.
