School Committee Elections.

Three, four or five respectively are to form a .Quorum. Nominations, of candidates jfor electron to Committees are to be made in writing, so as to reach the -Chairman of the Committee not later than b o'clock p.m. on the third Monday in April. A form is given for the nomiration, which must be signed by the proposer and candidate. The Chairman is to post; the list ofnorfcinatioifM the school door as soon after teithird Monday in April as possible. Hie annual meeting a Chairman is to be elected, and the retiring Committee is to present a "full report " of its proceedings for the year ending 31st "ifrirch preceding. This is rather a peculiar provision, as the Committee will only have been in office for eleven months up to the date named, Any dominated candidate may withdraw. After the report is presented the new election proceeds, the chairman having a .deliberative as well as a casting vote. At the mating any fresh candidates may be nominated, and opportunity for lock fresh nominations, in arldition to those made the week previous, is to be given.- The whole Ist of candidates U then to be read out, and if the numberis larger than the number requ ; red to be ehcted, a ballot is to be taken. If the number nominated is insufficient to form the Committee, the Board may fillip.the vacancies.
