Funeral of the late Sir P Scratchley.
(OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Melbourne, Dec. 17. The public funeral of the remains of the late General Sir P. Scratchley took place at St. Kildh Cemetery at ten o’clock this morning. The ceremony was of a very solemn and imposing character. Various Australasian colonies were numerously and influentially represented. The funeral obsequies were performed bvthe Bishop of Meloourne. The processsion which was very lengthy included two Metropolitan battalions of the Victorian Infantry Militia. There was a large attendance of. the general public to Ho honour to General Scratchlev’s remains.
