THE MELBOURNE FAILURE. THE FEDERATION QUESION. (OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Melbourne, Nov. 25. The Federal Enabling Bill was read a second time in the Legislative Council last night, but the final passing of the measure was postponed. The list of creditors of Henry Henty, whose failure was announced yesterday, includes, among other names, the National Bank of Australasia (who do not claim on the estate), £73,000 ; the Hon. Wm. Campbell, 7(45'000 ; and tha National Bank of New Zealand, /To,o, (for guaranty Neill Bros., of Dunedin.)
