(own correspondent.) Sydney, Nov. 23. H.M.S. Opal sailed for New Guinea last night to search for the Geograpical Society’s expedition. The debate on the no-confidence motion is still proceeding. The result is uncertain, both sides claiming a majority. Melbourne, Nov. 23. A bill authorising the raising of a loan for railways and public works has been introduced in the Legislative Assembly by Mr Service. Johnson and Co.’s foundry, situated on the Yarra bank, were totally destroyed by fire yesterday. The loss is estimated at from /ho,ooo to /"i 5,000'
