COOK COUNTY COUNCIL ■VyOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes to STOP a portion of the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, and to provide in lieu thereof a new road, passing through Waihau Block No. 1, Hangaroa Survey District Blocks 14aud 15, as described in the Schedule hereto annexed. And it is further proposed that if the owners of the adjacent lands are willing to accept such portion of road to be closed, then it is the intention of the Council to exchange a uch closed portions aa parL of the compeir saiion lor the land required to be taken for the new line of real. Plans and descriptions of the road proposed to be closed, and of the new road to be taken, may be seen at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, and Mr McMurray’s Accommodation House Waihau, until the 21st January, 1886.

Commencing at a point 116'6 links, or thereabouts, to the Eastward, and terminating a right line producep in continuance of the Southern Boundary of the Waihau No. 1 Block aforesaid ; bounded towards the East by lines 480'7 Iks., 246'9 Iks., 38 Iks., 402-3 Iks., 562-9 Iks., 1874-2 Iks., 581'8 Iks., 653-3 Iks., 283-2 Iks., 653-4 Iks., 139-9 Iks., 694-1 Iks., 782 8 Iks., 754-2 Iks., 470'9 Iks., 310 Iks. 363'3 Iks., 292-2 Iks., 691'4 Iks., 409'4 Iks., and 292'1 Iks. respectively, and towards the West generally by lines 241'3 Iks., 102'5 Iks., 390-4 Iks., 742-6 Iks., 291'8 Iks., 306'7 Iks., 386 Iks., 463-1 Iks., 648'8 Iks., 739'2 Iks., 723'9 Iks. 216'1 Iks., 733'6 Iks., 289'8 Iks., 2377'5 Iks., 512-1 Iks., 407‘7 Iks., 142-3 Iks., 76'3 Iks., 160'5 Iks., and 506'3 Iks. respectively to the commencing point. Portion containing 14 perches. Commencing at a point crossing a road 100 Iks., wide, at a distance of 101'2 Iks., or thereabouts, from the Northern angle of the road hereinbefore described; bounded towards the North-west by a line 657’3 links* and towards the South-east by lines 234 Iks., and 424'4 links respectively to the commencing point. Portion containing 2 acres 3 roods 18 perches. Commencing at a point 101 links, or thereabouts, to the Eastward of the Northern angle of the portion last hereinbefore described ; bounded towards the East and the South by lines 678'8 Iks., 549'1 Iks., 268 Iks., 352-2 Iks., 142-1 Iks., and 1030'1 Iks. respectively, and towards the North and West by lines 909'2 Iks., 186'8 Iks., 445'7 Iks., 34'5 Iks., 45'6 Iks., 118-2 Iks., 632-9 Iks., 283 Iks.. and 386 Iks. respectively, to the commencing point. Portion containing Ba. 2b. 34p. Commencing at’the opposite angle of the road, 101 Iks. or thereabouts, to the Northward of the Easternmost angle of the portion of road last hereinbefore described. Bounded towards the South-East by lines 279'6 Iks., 774'2 Iks., and 715‘5 Iks. respectively t towards the North-East by a line 251 Iks.; towards the North-West by a line 2509 Iks., and towards the South by a line 837'3 Iks., to the commencing point, be all the aforesaid linkages, more or less, as the same are delienated on plan No 3921, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
