Goodfellow, Waikato. He took first prize at Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Show, 1884. He is a dappled bay horse, stands over 16f hands high, with large bone and well developed muscle ; has good action and a docile temper, and is a sure foal getter. His sire, the famous horse Lord Derby, was got by Champion of Scotland, who gained the Highland Society’s first prize at Edinburgh, and three first prizes as a yearling, before leaving Scotland ; also, for three consecutive years the champion horse of Victoria.
