COOK COUNTY COUNCIL "VTOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes to STOP a portion of the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, and to provide in lieu thereof a new road, passing through Waihau. Block No. 1, Hangaroa Survey District Blocks Hand 15, as described in the Schedule hereto annexed. And it is further proposed that if the owners of the adjacent kinds are willing to accept such portion of the road to be closed, then it is the intention of the Council to exchange such closed portions as part of the compensation for the land required to be taken for the new line of road. Plans and descriptions of the road proposed to be closed, and of the new road to be taken, may be seen at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, and Mr McMurray’s Accommodation House, Waihau, until the 21st January, 1886.
