CONDITIONS: 1— “ District horse ” means any horse which has been the bona fide property of a resident in the district for three months prior to the day of the meeting. 2— “ Resident ” means any person who has resided in the district for three months prior to the day of the meeting. 3— “ District ” means that portion of the East Coast lying between the East Cape on the north, and the Waiomoko River on the south. 4— “ Entrance ” means nomination, and vice versa. 5— No person shall be allowed to start a horse in any race, other than the Hack Race, unless he be a subscriber of at least 1 sov to the race fund. g—No person shall be allowed to nominate a horse the property of another person unless each be a subscriber of at least 1 sov to the race fund, the Hack Race excepted. 7— Al| protests to be lodged with the Secretary in writing, within half an hour after the race, accompanied by a deposit of 1 sov, which will be forfeited if the protest be not sustained. 8— The decision of the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, will in all cases be final, and nominations will be received only on that condition. 9 — Non-subscrlbers nominating a Hack, to pay a qualification fee of 10s. 10— Nominations, enclosing entrance fees, name, age, discription, and pedigree of horse, and color of rider, to be in the hands of the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 30th December, (excepting the Uawa Stakes, which must be sent in as above.) Nominations to be addressed : “ The Secretary of the Tologa Bay Race Meeting, Postoffice Tologa Bay,” and marked “ Entry for Tologa Bay Races.” No delayed nominations will be received, 11— The above conditions, and the code of rules of the Poverty Bay Turf Club, including the schedule of weights, will be strictly adhered to.
