There was a good attendance at the Randwick course yesterday to witnesss the second day's racing of the above club's Spring Meeting. Great Metropolitan Stakes—2 miles Acolyte ... .. .. .. 1 Lord Exeter 2 Brown and Hose .. .. .. 3 This, event brought a field of seventeen horses to lhe post, Sloth and Comet being scratched, and Kathleen bolted off tire course, Prince Imperial led
until reaching the straight for Home, when Despot fell, and the three placed horses shot out. A splendid race then ensued resulting in Acolyte securing first place by half-a-length. Time : 3 mins. 31 -J secs.
