Spring Handicap, of 120 sovs.; second horse to receive 20 sovs. from the stakes. Distance, 1$ miles. Nomination of 1 sovs. on the 26th of Sepember. Weights will be declared on Monday, 12th October. Acceptance, with 3 sovs., on Saturday, 17th October, and a final payment of 2 sovs. at post. Start at 2 p.m. 3. Hurdle Race Handicap, of 60 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. Distance, 2 miles. Nomination of 1 sov. on 26th September. Weights will be declared on Monday, 12th October. Acceptance, with 2 sovs., on Saturday, 17th October. Start at 2.45 p.m, 4. Handicap Hack Hurdle Race, of 10 sovs. For all hacks that have not been trained for this . meeting. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 1 sov, to close at 1 p.m. day of race. Start at 3.30 p.m. 5. Flying Handicap, of 50 sovs; distance J mile. Nomination of 1 sov., Saturday, 26th September, 1885. Weights will be declared Monday, October. Acceptance, 2 sovs., Saturday, 17th October. Start at 4 p.m. 6. Handicap Hack Flat Race of 10 bovs; distance 1 mile. Entrance 1 sov., to close at 3 p.m. day of race. For all hacks that have not been trained for thiameetmg. Start at 4.80 p.m. 7. Forced Handicap of 25 bovb. ; 1 mile and a distance. Losers and hacks optional. Entrance 2 bovb. RULES ANd”rEGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race ex* cept upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 sovs. which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if tho protest ia not bus* tained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, not later than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. Nominations, bearing post mark of specified dates, will be received. General entry night, Saturday, 17th October, 1885. The rules and weights of the Poverty Bay Turf Club, as in force at tho date of the ineet> ing, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will bo deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive only 50 per cont of the stakes.
