A Narrow Escape.
(OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Christchurch, Wednesday. During the interval of the Plumpton Park Races yesterday, a thoroughbred mare, that was being walked round, broke away from the groom and bolted, in her flight she knocked down a son of Mr J. D. Lance, M.H.R., rendering him insensible, but he soon recovered.
