Fatal Dynamite Explosion
(own correspondent.) Dunedin, Monday. A terrible dynamite accident occurred on Saturday morning at Skipper’s, resulting in the death of John Tripp and Cornelius Holman. The men were warming dynamite at a fire in their chimney, when the explosion occurred. Holman was blown through the roof of the hut, and Tripp was frightfully mutilated. Both were unmarried, and working the claim on their own account.
