(Before Jas. Booth, Esq., 8.M.) TUESDAY. V Chrisp and Muir zr. English.—Adjourned by the Court for one week. NZN L.S Company <7. Proctor. — Adjourned for a fortnight N.Z.N.L.S. Company ». Craig.— Judgment confessed. A. J. Cooner v. W. L. Rees.—No appearance of either party. Case struck out. WiCKENS V. McInTOSH. Mr Kenny for plaintiff, and Mr Nolan for the defendant. Mr Kenny e plained the nature of this case, it being for the recovery of a license to occupy certain lands situate at Patutahi, wrongfully detained by the defendant Mr Featon, Land Officer, proved the transfer of the original license from the administrat Mrs Mclntosh, to Mr Wickens. Was not aware of anv arrangement having been made at that time between the parties Mr Wickens. the plaintiff, stated that he had made the usual declaration in order to obtain the transference to him of 'he land, and received the license, with the transference to him endorsed on it, from Mr Featon. His sister, the defendant, subsequently took the license out of his pocket, and when he asked her if she had done so, she admitted having taken it. but did not give it up. Mrs Mclntosh admitted the transference to Mr Wickens, but stated that the agreement was that it was to be held in trust for her. The Court declined to make the order asked for, and refused costs. Mr Nolan gave notice of appeal.
