Wellington Exhibition.
(own correspondent.) Wellington, Monday. The Home Industry branch of" the Exhibition was opened at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon by the Governor. The building was crowded, and the arrangements were a marked contrast to those of the previous openingday. There was no crushing on this occasion, the Wellington Rifles being drawn up in line to keep the avenues clear. A Cantata, composed by Mr C. Thomas, late of Napier, was sung and elicited much applause, Sir Julius Vogel and His Excellency the Governor in a brief speech, both praised the Cantata very highly. The exhibition continued crowded during the evening.
