The hearing of the Dominion dairy industry dispute, which has been part heard in the Concil'ation Council, is to he resumed at Wellington cci Monday. ‘.ln reply to a question, the Conciliation Commissioner, (Mr. M. J. Reardon, said -that his attention -had 'been drawn to the comment made hy the chairman, Mr. A. Morton, at the National Dairy Conference that, in spite of the assurances given toy the leaders of the Government, exorbitant -wage demands were still toeing made in the Conciliation Councils. Mr. Reardon said that in the case of the -Dominion dairy dispute, this was created toy 'the employers early in February of this year in all eight industrial districts throughout the Dominion. The law -required that when a dispute . was created, the respondents —in this instance the union—should file counter-proposals or a cross-citation. This -was done by the unicn on March 30. Another point mentioned toy Mr. Reardon was that the Dominion dairy dispute was still part 'heard, and that being 'so it was sub-judice. The hearing of the dispute had toeen adjourned and the date for its resumption had been fixed for after the conclusion of the (National Dairy Conference to meet the convenience of the employers’ representatives.
