INCREASE OF MILLION BURGOS, Spain, May G. Spain’s population has increased nearly 1,000,000 in nine years despite the civil war, the national statistics service disclosed to-day. The servicesaid the population of Spain and her possessions increased from 24,614,1)30, as shown by the census in 1930, to 25,365,000 on April 1, 1959. The bureau did not state the number of war casualties.
