FANCY DRESS DANCE

I PATUTAHI CHILDREN SUCCESS . ~"m . (Herald Correspondent.) The annual children's fancy dress ball,: held in the. Patutahi Hall. on. Tuesday night,.(proved an unqualified success. The staff of the school are to-be congratulated' on the splendid ■way in; which tfte children carried out the; different dances. The dances were under the able direction of Mrs. S. M. Naughton, assisted by other members of the staff. The ball was attended by.many residents of the district, both parents and lriends- of the children, Members of the school commiSp, assisted by their wives and maiiFOf the provided a delicious supper, which was done full justice to by the juveniles. The tables were adorned with vases of autumn flowers. As., the majority of the children, were in fancy dress they presented a colourful spectacle. Mrs. W.
