INTOXICATED DRIVER RUATORIA HEARING Charges of having been intoxicated while in charge of a motor-vehicle and of driving a car for which a warrant of fitness had not been issued were preferred against Ben Grace in the Ma|istrate’s Court, Ruatoria, on Tuesday before Messrs. R. H. Wicksteed and I. C. S. Dalgairns, J.F.s. Grace was arrested by Constable Birch in Ruatoria on Monday while driving his car along the main street. The defendant, who pleaded guilty, was fined £ls, in default one month’s imprisonment, on the major charge. His license was cancelled, and he was prohibited from obtaining another for 12 months. Time was allowed for the payment of the fine. On the second charge. Grace was convicted and discharged.
