VANCOUVER SERVICE
SHIPS FOR OVERHAUL MONOWAI TO RELIEVE (Special to (ho Herald.) WELLINGTON, this clay. Both the Niagara and Aorangi arc to undergo extensive overhaul and survey at Sydney this year. Each ship will miss one round voyage in the Sydney-Auckland-Vancouver service of the Canadian Australasian Line in whicn they will be relieved by the Union Company’s liner IVlonowai. The IVlonowai, which has been laid up at the Patent Slip wharf, is now undergoing overhaul before taking up her running in the C.-A. service. She will leave Wellington on May 5 for Sydney, and will leave there again an May 11 for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver in place of the Niagara, which will withdraw on her arrival at Sydney from Vancouver on May (1. The Niagara will resume from Sydney cn June '8 in place of the Aorangi, which in turn will undergo her overhaul. The Monowai's second sailing will be from Sydney on. July 0. She will leave Vancouver coming southward again on August 2, arriving at Sydney on August 25. The Monowai will then withdraw from service, leaving Sydney on August 29 for Wellington to lay up again. The Aorangi, after overhaul, will reenter the Vancouver service, leaving Sydney on August 3.
