ANNUAL MEETING ' The annual meeting of Ihe East Cape Women’s Institute was held at the residence of Mrs. Pullen, on March 19. There was a large attendance. Two new members, Mrs. K. G. Henderson and Mrs. G. W. Flavelt, were welcomed. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs Hendersonf vice-president, Mrs. Kohere; secretary, Mrs. Potae; competition secretaries, Mesdames Poi and Flavell. It was decided that 'the birthday celebration would take the form of a lei ball, to be held in Te Araroa on April 21. Mrs. Henderson's residence at Horocra was arranged as (lie venue of the next meeting. The hostess was warmly thanked for her delicious lunch and afternoon tea.
