DISMISSAL OF STEWARDS
DISCONTENT IN LINER NO PUBLIC EXPLANATION (Reed. March 22, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 22. As a result of dissension and discontent which existed in the crew's quarters in the Dominion Monarch since the liner left Southampton, 14 stewards were dismissed at Sydney. No reason was given by the officers or owners for the action, but about CO stewards held a meeting of protest against their accommodation and conditions. The liner is now on the way to New Zealand.
