Pel-mission to erect a banner at the intersection of Peel street and Gladstone road was granted by the Borough Council last night to the Gisborne Repertory Society in connection with the society's coming production. A request from the Gisborne and District Beautifying Association to plant plane trees on the western side of Fitzherbert street was discussed by the Borough Council last night.
