BERLIN BOAST
POWER IN CENTRAL AREA ENTITLED TO ACT TREATY WITH BRITAIN TALK OP DENUNCIATION (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn J (Reed. Mar. 21, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 20. "The earthquake which shook England and France last week has turned their attitude towards Germany into hatred,"'states a broadcast from the official German radio station. It goes on: "The era of the Western democracies has ended. Germany is the greatest Central European Power responsible for the maintenance' of peace and'is entitled to act' as she .considers expedient." Reuter's Berlin correspondent understands that at a conference Herr Hitler and the German Ministers debated whether to denounce the Anglo-German Naval Treaty. Apparently no decision was reached. It is believed that Herr Hitler, realising it is impossible immediately to build up a fleet beyond the treaty limit, favours an increase in the air force to show the German displeasure over the reactions of the democratic states to the latest Nazi conquest.
