FATALLY INJURED
FALL FROM MOTOR CAR A two-year-old girl, Elizabeth Shore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Shore, of Kaiapoi, suffered injuries which proved fatal when she fell out of a motor car driven by her father. MrShore was returning to his home with his infant son in the front seat of the car and the other children in the back. About six miles from Christchurch along Marchlands road, the backdoor of the car swung open and the child fell out on to the road. A doctor was called and at first it was thought that the child was not seriously injured, but she was later sent to the Christchurch Hospital, where an operation was performed. She later died.
