Oar Falls from Bridge Two Christchurch residents, Mr. and Mrs. Cowper. had a fortunate escape from serious injury when the sedan car in which they were traellins; towards Wairoa on Sunday alternoou crushed through the rails «>f a one-car bridge two miles On the Nap ter side cl' the town. The vehicle rolled down the bank and landed on its right side in a creek bed 25ft. below. The sound of the crash ■brought Mr. K. G. L. Smith, a farmer of the neighbourhood to the scene and he yvas able to extricate Mr. and Mrs. Cowper, who were Dinned within the car. Both travellers escaped with minor cuts and abra-Mnn-s. They were treated by a doctor.
