LEADING SALVATIONIST COMMISSIONER CUTHBERT (Par Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Commissioner David Cuthbert arrived by the liner Wanganella to-day on Salvation Army business. He had had 54" years with the Army and, he said, had assisted the present General when she was a cap-tain in London, when it was a common experience for them ; tO be pelted while conducting open-air meetings. His present tour is'being undertaken on her behalf. Commissioner Cuthbert retired last October, his last position being that of managing-director of the Salvation Army Assurance Society. Pie returned to adtive Army work at the request of General Evangeline Booth and will visit Canada after spending a week in Ne-ty* Zealand.
