Kitchen Gift Tea Miss Amy Houghton, who is to be married to Mr. C Smith at the end of next week, was ithc guest of honour at several very enjoyable parties recently. One of her hostesses was Miss Essie Mortimer, who entertained her and some of her friends at a handkerchief” gift party on the evening of Saturday, March 4. the party being held 1 at the home of the hostess in Harris street. . .. A Kitchen Gift Tea The following Monday evening the Methodist Girls’ Club entertained Miss Houghton- at a jolly tea party at the home of t'he president, Mrs. F. E. Lcadley, “The Parsonage,” Palmerston road. After a delicious tea had been served the gift parcels were opened by the guest of honour and her prospective bridesmaids, revealing a number of attractive kitchen utens-iL for the future home of the bride-elect. A novel competition provided enjoyable entertainment, the winner being Mrs. T. King. Those present included Mesdames F. E. Leadley, R. S. Wallace, T. King, D. Lee, andi D. Lean; Misses C. Foster, V. Bates, E. Smith, G. Richardson, J. Coleman, G. Ferguson, S. Reynolds, E. and J. Cade, J. Sealey, Joan Eaton, E. Mortimer, M. Smith, M. Fletcher, D. Hawkins and E. Ashton.
